Tortilla Chips n Citrus Chutney and Awards

Both are very simple recipes….prepares within 30mins.
The chutney is prepared with oranges and lemon and gives a wonderful flavor.
You can serve as dipping sauce or use as a coating for chicken etc and bake in the oven.




For the tortilla chips
2 tortillas
Honey
1 tbsp sesame seeds

Method : Take a tortilla, coat the surface with honey,sprinkle with sesame seeds.Cut into triangle shapes.Bake in preheated oven 180C for 9mins.The tortilla will come out crisp.If you want it softer then bake for 5mins.

Citrus Chutney
1 cup light brown sugar
½ cup apple cider vinegar
4 large oranges,pitted and diced
1 cup raisin
1 whole lemon,seeded and chopped include skin
1 large garlic,minced
2 tbsp minced fresh ginger
½ tsp curry powder
½ tbsp cayenne (can less if want less spicy)
Dash of salt

In a medium saucepan,cook brown sugar in vinegar over medium heat,stirring until sugar dissolves.Bring to a boil.Add oranges,lemon,ginger,garlic,curry powder,cayenne and salt.Cook for about 20-25 mins stirring occasionally until gravy thickens.You can store the chutney ,covered,in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freeze.
