Sesame Flatbreads

This is a very simple soft flatbreads prepared by using yeast.Its idle to serve for breakfast or for a light dinner.Serve with chicken or fish curries , and the flatbreads will disappear in a jiffy! If you are a vegetarian then any type of dhall curries will go along just fine with it.



Ingredients A
1 tbsp sugar
7g sachet dried yeast
1 cup warm water
½ cup milk

Ingredients B
300gm superfine white flour (sieved)
2 tbsp oil
Sesame seeds to sprinkle



Combine Ingredients A together,cover and leave in a warm place for 30mins until foamy.
Put in the flour in a bowl, make a well in the center, add in yeast mixture ,oil and knead dough well on a well floured surface until smooth and elastic.Place in a lightly oiled bowl ,leaving enough space for it to rise, cover with a wet damp thin cloth in a warm place until double in size.
Punch the dough with fist, knead slightly and divide the dough into a few portions , depending how big you want your breads to be .Knead each portions into round balls.Roll each ball into a round or oval shape about 14cm in diameter.Brush with milk,sprinkle with sesame seeds .Place on greased oven trays, set aside for 30 mins .Bake in preheated oven 180C for 20mins.Leave to cool .Cut into 4 pieces and serve.

Superfine flour have high proportion of starch – a complex form of carbohydrates. White flour is flour that has been chemically treated to whiten it, This flour is milled from soft wheat and has less than 10% protein.
