Sotong Cili Kicap/ Spicy Soy sauce Squid



(serves 2)

180gm squid, cleaned and cut into rings
1 tbsp chopped spring onions
1 tbsp sambal paste
1 tsp dark soy sauce
1/2 tsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp light soy sauce (salty)
sugar and salt to taste
1 small Bombay onion(cut into rings) optional
1 tsp oil



Heat wok, saute onions until fragrant, then add in sambal paste, followed by squid. Stir fry until squid cooks, then mix in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar and throw in spring onions Stir fry quickly. I did not add salt as I used salty light soy sauce. Serve with white rice or nasi lemak.
