Fish Masala Roast

550gm fish fillets
1 tsp heap potato flour
salt to taste
red colouring
2sprigs curry leaves

1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp fennel seeds
1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds

1 medium onion, chopped
1 in ginger, pounded
3 nips garlic, pounded
2 tbsp grated coconut

2 tsp chilli powder
2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp fennel powder
1 tsp cumin powder

Marinate fish with potato flour,salt,red colouring and curry leaves.
Shallow fry the fish and keep aside.

In a claypot, heat 4 to 5 tbsp oil, add in mustard seeds,cumin seeds,fennel seeds and fenugreek seeds. Then saute onions until soften, mix in ginger garlic paste and saute further until fragrant. Sprinkle grated coconut and stir until combined with all the ingredients. Add in dry powders and stir until raw smell fades off. If necessary add in more oil so that the spices do not burn. Add salt to taste and stir further. Mix in fried fish and combine it slowly with the spices. Sprinkle some curry leaves. Serve with rice.
