Prawns with Longbean Sambal

250 gm prawns, deshell and cleaned
150 gm long beans, cut into 1in in length
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 cup thick coconut milk
12 tbsp sugar
salt to taste

Grind coarsely 
1 red chilli, deseed
5 dried red chillies, soaked in hot water for 15mins and drained
1in shrimp paste
2 nips garlic
3 shallots

Heat 1/4 cup oil, saute grind ingredients until aromatic, add in salt and sugar and stir. Then add in coconut milk and stir. Leave the gravy to thicken until oil floats on the surface. Then add in long beans and cook until its 3/4 cooked. For this dish, the beans should have a light crunch. Finally, add in prawns and cook for 5-10 mins, depending on the size of the prawns used. This dish is a dried version and yummy with rice.
