Mung Dal Crisps

This is a very simple snack, however, takes some time to dry the dal before frying.






400gm mung dal(skinless green bean)
salt to taste

Flavouring Ingredients
1 tbsp cumin seeds
6-7 sprigs curry leaves
1/4 tsp hing powder
3 dried red chillies


Soak mung dal for 2 hours, drain and spread the dal on a cloth. Leave to dry under a fan.
Heat about 4 cups oil. Ina siever, place about 3 tbsp mung dal, slowly bring the siever to the hot oil and allow the dal to fry, keep stirring, this way its easier for you to take and place the dal on the paper towel once its crips. Do the same until you have fried all the dal.

In a non-stick pan, dry roast the flavouring ingredients, Make into a fine powder and mix into the fried mung dal. Add salt to taste.
 Keep in an airtight container. The dal will taste better as days past by.
