Simple Mung Dhall French Beans Stir Fry








200gm french beans (cut small)
2 tbsp skinless mung beans
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 bombay onion (chopped)
1 dried red chilli(break into a few segments)
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
a few slices of green chilli
1 nip garlic(optional)
2 sprig curry leaves
salt to taste



Soak mung beans in water for 10mins. Drain and pour some hot water and leave a side for 20mins then drain.

In a wok, heat 3 tbsp oil, add in dried chillies, one curry leaf ,mustard seeds and leave for mustard seeds to splutter.Then throw mung beans and saute until it becomes slightly crisp, add in onions and saute until soften. Throw in green chillies, french beans and salt. keep stirring until beans soften. Once the beans are partially cooked, add in turmeric powder and cumin seeds. Stir until french beans soften. if need can sprinkle some water in between. Finally throw in the other curry leaf and dish out. Serve as a side dish with rice.
