Crab Chips/Kerepek Ketam

Snack idea for Hari Raya ....Crab chips, a new invention for this year .

200gm crab filamen
1 tsbp chilli powder
2 tbsp corn flour
1 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp white pepper powder
1/4 tsp salt
7 to 8 sprigs of curry leaves

Soak the crab filamen for about 20mins.
Cut the crab filamen lengthwise. Then using your fingers, peel it strand by strand.
Mix with all the ingredients. Use only the leaves of curry leaves when using curry leaves.

Heat up about 3 cups of oil., Take a handful of crab mix and throw into the semi hot oil. Stir slightly to separate the strands so that they dont stick together. Leave until it turn crispy and slightly brownish. Dish out on paper towel to discard excess oil. Leave to cool.Store in air tight container.
