Fried Chilli Squid


   1.     Squid- 1kg
2.     Onion - 2
3.     Chilli powder-2-tablespoon
4.     Cumin Seeds- 1/4 teaspoon
5.     Coriander powder-1 tablespoon
6.     Fenugreek powder-1/4 tsp
7.     Ginger Garlic paste-1 tbsp
8.     Cardamom powder- ¼ tsp
9.     Turmeric – ¼ teaspoon
10.   2 tbsp lingam chilli sauce
11.   Salt  and sugar to taste
12.   2 sprigs curry leaves
13.   2 dried chillies(cut into a few parts)
14.   Oil – ¼ cup

 Clean squid and half it length wise in the middle. Wash well and allow to dry for 5 minutes.
Add ingredients from chilli powder to turmeric.
Mix well and marinate for 5 minutes.
 Heat oil in  a wok; add dried chillies followed by curry leaves.Then add in chopped onions   and stir-fry for a couple of minutes.Once fragrant,add in ginger garlic  paste.Stir fry .
Add squid, mix well, and fry under low flame.In between add in chilli sauce ,salt and sugar to taste and cook  for 15 minutes.Close fire.Do not add water to this dish.
